Your privacy matters. Here's how Song Hive handles your data.
Your song library is stored locally on your device and, if you choose to enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account. Song Hive never has access to your library contents — it all stays between you and Apple.
To find and fix problems, and to understand which features help, the app sends crash reports, diagnostic logs and usage events to Sentry, an error-monitoring service, in its EU region. These carry your device model, iOS version and app version, a random identifier created when you install the app, and your IP address. They don't carry your name, email address or Apple Account.
Usage events record things like opening the app, how many songs are in your library, seeing the upgrade screen, and whether a purchase went through. For a small share of sessions, and when an error happens, a recording of the screen is sent with all text and images masked, so your songs and lyrics are never in it. The contents of your library are never sent.
If you send a report from the app's error screen, Sentry also receives your message and any name or email address you choose to enter.
This website does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand aggregate traffic — such as which pages are popular and where visitors come from. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not collect any personal data or build profiles of individual visitors. All metrics are anonymous and aggregated, and the data is hosted in the EU.
If you contact us through the support page, we will retain your email address only for the purposes of responding to your enquiry.
Song Hive doesn't sell your data or use it for advertising, and nothing in the app or on this website tracks you across other companies' apps or websites. There is no advertising in the app or on this website. Sentry (for the app) and Plausible (for this website), both described above, are the services that receive diagnostics or analytics.
